Biofield Tuning
Biofield Tuning is a holistic wellness modality that uses the vibration from tuning forks to encourage targeted relaxation and to recalibrate our vibrational rhythms from stressors that drain us. Your biofield, or aura, is the electromagnetic energy field that surrounds your body.

A biofield tuning session introduces a coherent sound into the energy field allowing the body’s nervous system to release subtle energy that is creating dissonance in our lives. Activating a tuning fork in the biofield offers your body the information it needs to heal itself, or recalibrate.

This physics based approach to wellness was developed by the researcher, author and practitioner, Eileen Day McKusick and is based on nearly 20 years of clinical study of the biofield anatomy.

Biofield Tuning sessions can be done in person or from a distance.


Access Bars

Access Bars® are 32 points on the head where the brain stores the electromagnetic imprints of thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and patterns. When lightly touched, these points begin to release stored limitations—creating space for more ease, clarity, and new possibilities. This gentle yet powerful process can help reduce stress, pain, and trauma while promoting a greater sense of well-being. Developed by Gary M. Douglas in 1990, Access Bars® offers a simple, hands-on approach to shifting your mindset and transforming your life.

Each session is tailored to the individual or group’s unique needs, creating an avenue to improved wellness. Every class incorporates breathing techniques, gentle movement, relaxation and meditation to facilitate both mental and physical well-being.

About me

My journey to creating Resonating Sound and Soul has been a beautifully winding path. I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where I learned the power of connection and the importance of holding space for healing and growth. My professional background is as diverse as it is rewarding—I hold a degree in Public Relations and have worked in radio, advertising and marketing. I’ve also been a devoted caretaker for my parents and grown children, experiences that profoundly impacted me, inspiring my passion for healing and service.

My goal is to help you tune into your own frequency of wellness. I am a certified yoga teacher, a Biofield Tuner, and an Access Bars practitioner. I love blending the mystical and the scientific, exploring the harmony between the "woo woo" of energy modalities and the grounded, science-backed evidence of why they work. There is a meaningful connection between the vibrational nature of our bodies and the healing frequencies of sound and energy—a truth deeply entrenched in physics and the natural world.

My objective is to create a safe container where you can release what no longer serves you and reconnect with your own soul's resonance. Whether through the gentle vibrations of Biofield Tuning, the soothing flow of yoga, or the deep serenity of Access Bars, my goal is to guide you back to a place of balance, peace, and alignment.

Frequently asked questions

  • During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed (with shoes off) while lying comfortably on a treatment table. I use tuning forks both on specific points of the body and within the energetic field surrounding your body—sometimes up to 5 or 6 feet away. Some forks produce an audible sound, while others create only a vibration.

    The experience is generally relaxing. When I encounter an area of dissonance, I focus on harmonizing it with the coherent frequency of the tuning fork. Sometimes, I may share insights about what I’m sensing, but you are never required to discuss personal details unless you feel comfortable.

    While results can’t be guaranteed, the calming, frequency healing produced during a session can often provide immediate relief, reducing anxiety, discomfort, and other stresses. The benefits may continue to unfold in the days following the session. The effects of multiple sessions are cumulative, and while a minimum of three sessions is often recommended for lasting results, it is not a requirement.

    Responses vary widely: some clients feel energy moving, experience tingling sensations, or may even drift off to sleep. Emotional releases can happen but often pass smoothly.

    A typical session lasts from 45-75 minutes.

  • Biofield Tuning can be performed remotely, meaning the practitioner and client do not need to be in the same physical location.

    This practice operates on the understanding that the biofield extends beyond the physical body, serving as a dynamic blueprint for health and well-being. Unlike the physical body, this energetic field is not limited by space or time but exists in what is often referred to as the ether (Quantum Field, Pranic Field, Universal Energy).

    In this context, ether represents a subtle, all-encompassing medium that transcends space and time. Because of this, the effects of Biofield Tuning are believed to extend beyond physical proximity. The vibrational frequencies used in a session travel through the ether, interacting with the biofield regardless of geographic distance.

    In addition, this attribute of ether suggests that energy is not confined to a single moment. Biofield Tuning recognizes the interconnected nature of past, present, and future, allowing it to address energetic imbalances or blockages that may have originated at any point in time.

  • Biofield Tuning can support a wide range of concerns. While it is not a medical treatment, many clients have reported positive changes in areas such as anxiety, depression, headaches, PTSD, chronic stress, adrenal fatigue, digestive issues, fibromyalgia, fears and phobias, addictions, restless leg syndrome, and overcoming feelings of "stuckness."

    Biofield Tuning may also help release difficult emotions from the past, dissolve limiting beliefs, and create a sense of freedom and spontaneity in the present. These observations are based on client and practitioner experiences. Biofield Tuning is not a substitute for medical or psychological care but can be a valuable complement to existing treatments.

  • To maximize the benefits of your session:

    • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and after your session.

    • Epsom Salt Bath: A soak in an Epsom salt bath (or a foot soak if a full bath isn’t possible) on the day of your session can help integrate the work.

    • Rest and Self-Care: Some people feel tired afterward, so going to bed early and allowing time for rest is beneficial.

    • Listen to Your Body: The effects of Biofield Tuning can unfold over several days, so nurturing yourself with gentle self-care can deepen the experience.

  • Post-session experiences vary. Some people may encounter mild "cleansing" symptoms such as tiredness, sensitivity, or slight muscle soreness, especially during initial sessions. These sensations typically pass within a few hours or a day.

    To alleviate any discomfort, I recommend:

    • Epsom Salt Bath: Helps relax the body and support detoxification.

    • Grounding Practices: Walking barefoot outdoors can stabilize your energy.

    • Hydration and Rest: Drinking water and getting good sleep are always helpful.

    Others may feel energized, lighter, and more at ease. Clients often describe a sense of relief, as if a weight has been lifted. Whether you feel invigorated or need rest, honor where you are and let the session’s benefits gently unfold.

  • During an Access Bars® session, 32 points on the head are gently touched, helping to release stored thoughts, emotions, and beliefs that may be limiting you. This process, known as "having your Bars run," clears mental and emotional blockages, creating space for greater ease, clarity, and possibility.

    Sessions are typically done while you relax on a massage table or recline in a zero-gravity chair, fully clothed. Only the head, hands, and (optionally) feet are touched. It’s common for body temperature to shift during the session. A table warmer and blankets are available should you want them. Sessions usually last 45 to 60 minutes, though shorter introductory sessions can be done in as little as 20 minutes.

    Since this process activates brain synapses and releases stored energy, your body may crave more salt, sugar, or water afterward—so listen to what it needs.

    One of the best things about Access Bars® is that it can be done almost anywhere! Whether in a quiet studio, a hospital, a park, an office, or even an airport, outside noise and distractions won’t interfere with the session. It’s a flexible, accessible modality for anyone looking to shift their energy and transform their life.

  • Yoga is for EVERY body. Literally. There is a style of yoga for everyone on the planet. Every aspect of a yoga class can be modified to meet you where you are right now.

    For some people, a simple breathing practice incorporating guided imagery and/or meditation is perfect.

    Others may prefer to remain seated in a chair for stability.

    And some people want to lie on the floor and use props to feel supported during their practice. Anything goes. There is no ‘wrong’ or ‘right’ way to bring balance and harmony to mind, body and spirit.
